Current Full Version: 2.0.20.0 08/11/202025
Full Install Download:L32LogSyncInstaller.msi
Download the file and Run the installer.
When Club Log auto upload failed, L32logsync.ini file is override to WNDTop=-32000 and WNDLeft=52, L32logsync window goes to out frame on screen.
Rewrite WNDTop and WNDleft, then window returns properly.
Please check this symptom.
Jim.. Would you look in the directory where the program is installed and see if you find a DebugLog.txt if you do send it to me direct at rellison@twcny.rr.com
If you don’t find the file Turn Debug on and see if you can catch this in the debug for me. It will kinda of point to what area is causing this..

Sync works OK with Club Log.
For LOTW, I have an error “LOTW must not been run as administrator”.
I checked and neither TQsl nor LOGGER32 are run as admin…
Any idea why this error?
That is an error Message from TQSL.exe I don’t have that message in my code at all.
I would right click on Tqsl.exe and select compatibility and then make sure the checkbox for Run as Administrator is not checked. It will still run correctly it just doesn’t like being in that mode. If you run Logsync using the Run as Administrator setting then you need to run Tqsl with the same.

Greetings,
For some time now, I can no longer even see the logsync status/setup screen. It loads right after L32, minimizes and runs fine, I just can’t find a way to see the main screen of Logsync.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joel – WA1ZYX

Hi Joel..
What happens if you grab the top screen that is above the Logsync window and drag it out of the way??
Or can you see the window on the taskbar? if so can you right click and select Move to move the window out of the way using the arrow keys??
If you minimize Logger32 can you see the window after that??

About three days ago, I started having the same problem as Joel, WA1ZYX. I can see that L32 Logsync is running, but can’t view its window. At around the same time, it quit automaticly uploading to Club Log. I have been using L32 LogSync for many years, but don’t remember having this problem before.
The answer to all the questions you asked Joel, no – there is nothing I can move or minimize to view Logsync. For some reason, my Windows 10 Dell Tower will not let me Restore to a former date. I uninstalled L32 LogSync and after fighting anti-virus apps, managed to get the latest version installed. Same problem. Has anyone else solved this problem yet?

Usually when you can’t get it to come up on the screen it mean that it has been moved off the screen.
There are a couple of ways to get it back visible again.
The simple thing to try first is to double click on the Logsync icon and see if it maximizes the form.
1. Edit the .ini file
Close the program and with windows explorer move to the directory where you installed Logsync. In that directory you will find L32Logsysc.ini open it up by double clicking ok it.
Then look for the following settings:
WNDTop=344
WNDLeft=1675
WNDWindowState=1
OpenMinimized=False
The first 2 are the location down from top and over from left to where your window will be located. Set both of these to 100
The next line tells the program what window state to open the window in. 0=normal, 1=minimized, 2=maximized
The last line will tell the program to open in a minimized state. If it is set to true it will always be minimized. False it will not..
2. Use the move selection.
With the form minimized and if it is located off the screen right click on the icon on the taskbar. If the Move menu item is enabled select it and then use the arrow keys to move the form back on to the desktop to make it visible.

Thanks Rick
That did the trick. For some reason, the ini file got set to WNDTop=-32000.
Your replies are far faster and more thorough than those for apps that I have to pay for. Especially on a Sunday.
Keep up the great work you do for us.

That number appears when the window has been moved off the screen and microsoft doesn’t know where it is..

Having a problem with Logsync for LOTW. Always worked fine now it is processing my full log of 7000+ QSOs every time I upload to LOTW. I use the upper gray box to say automatically process. It asks if I want to clear the LOTW flags and I say yes and it takes of from the top of the Log. It is repeatable now as it has done this three different times. The Log shows N in the LOTW field for about 6500 records and Y for the newest 500 or so. It correctly changes them all to N but it is sending every record. Must be something I have done or changed but doesnt seem right. Thanks
Curt KU8L
Hi Rick
I had same issues like above, but still did not work then de-installed and re installed newest Version. It opens but not connected to Logger32
Any ideas ?

Hi Curt..
Sorry for not answering quicker..
Look in the Logger32 directory and see if you have a file called LOTW.adi if you do delete that file. It sounds like the file has not been deleting and it keeps the previous adi content and just keeps trying to upload them over and over. second thing I would try is before your upload open the LOTW setup window and click diagnose TQSL. This will enter in anything returned from tqsl as an error message. After your done look in the L32Logsync directory for a file call Diag.log and send that to me as an attachment…..
73 Rick N2AMG
Johan..
It sounds like you are running Logger32 using the Run as Administrator setting. If you are then L32Logsync needs to be run using the same setting. Or if you are running L32Logsync with that setting then Logger32 needs it also…

Hello, Rick-San
I am currently using L32LogSync and L32Lookup for Logger32 simultaneously (all are the latest versions).
I frequently encounter an issue where L32LogSync fails to upload to ClubLog when the “QSL VIA” field in QRZ.COM or in previously logged QSO data in Logger32 contains too many characters.
Is there any way to resolve this problem?
73 Setsu JL1UXH
I will take a look at this when I can find time to do so. I’m not sure why that would be doing that.
If you would turn on Debug in L32Logsync and run it while you do an upload to Clublog when this encounter with the QSL_Via exists. After doing so turn Debug Off and in the directory where L32Logsync in installed you will find a file called DebugLog.txt send that file as an attachment to rellison@twcny.rr.com . The file can be up to 10 megs with that address.

Hello Rick
i posted this earlier this year in this Comment section here, but unfortunately i cannot see the message here. I also posted this in the hamlogger discussion group – https://groups.io/g/hamlogger/message/97787, but it might be, that you missed it.
Sorry for posting this question again then.
So i just copy/paste the message from the hamloger group.
I am a short time member of the QO-100 Dx Club and I found a way how to automatically upload QSOs to the club website, just like I do on LOTW, QRZ etc. There is an API on the qo100dx.club website that could do this. Is there a chance that this could be implemented in L32 LogSync? Maybe as an extension of the Webside upload function?
API documentation: https://qo100dx.club/api-documentation
An example of how it could look like is Log4om: https://qo100dx.club/log4om-api
Thank you very much for considering this option.

I have updated to 2.0.20. It is not working with Logger32. I have it set to open in the L32 Utility and I even tried to update the .exe file.
In stand-alone L32 Sync is working properly. Slower than before but working. But it will not work when I try to open it with L32. I had the “blue circle of death” for several hours today, and no luck. It just goes to the Loading Program window and that is it when I open with L32 Utility. It puts L32 in a “Not Responding” mode until I manually close the L32 Sync. Then L32 works properly.
I can download from LoTW and eQSL but I have to manually sync the downloads as L32 Sync is not working with L32.
When I uncheck the L32 Utility and just open L32 and then Open L32Sync. They both open and work but not communicating with each other, automatically.
How do I go back to the older version?
Rick
Working. I had to un-install the old version and install the new version. Was not able to just allow the update to happen.
Bob/VE1RSM
Hi Bob..
That has happened to a few other users. I’m not sure why the installer is doing that but it usually goes thru without a problem but sometimes also it will popup a window saying the old version needs to be uninstalled first before the new version can be installed. I will keep trying to figure out why it does that..
73 Rick N2AMG
Rick
Well it was working properly until I opened Logger32 this evening. Now all I get is a picture of a blank L32Sync window. And when I click on it to have it not-minimized L32 disappears from my screen. Once I don’t have L32Sync showing, Logger32 appears. It will freeze Logger32 as “not responding” until I “X” and close L32Sync.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled L32Sync. It opens fine by itself but not through L32. I sometimes get a yellow window that appears stating “user mouse click saved.” That window stays there until I close L32Sync when I open via Logger32.
Jut letting you know what is happening. As I say it work just perfectly last night. But not today.
Rich
Is there a way I can go back to the previous version until this is resolved?
Bob
Running Windows 11, updater informed me today a new version was available. Tried and it keeps saying network resource unavailable. Tried removing present version and I get the same message. I cannot install or remove the program.
Chuck..
Make sure Logger32 is not running or any version of Logsync. (Double check in the taskmanager). Then try using windows remove applications and see if that allows you to remove it. Some people have reported issues but so far none like this. Once the old version is uninstalled then you should be able to install the new version. It seems all of the issues so far have been on Windows 11 computer..
Let me know how it goes..
73 Rick N2AMG
Hi Bob..
Let me find a copy of the old version and see if it makes a difference. I test my updates on Windows 8,10 and 11 and I have not seen any issues with this. One thing look in the directory where you have it installed and see if a DebugLog.txt file has been created. If so send it to me as an attachment. One thing also are you running Logger32 using the Run as Administrator setting?? If you are you need to also run Logsync using the same setting..
73 Rick N2AMG
Well, I tried shutting EVERYTHING down and still get the same error. I have a screen shot and the log I can send
Just sent a private email to you.. Looking at your Log you sent Windows 11 is blocking it. I have to figure out why it is doing it without paying for a signing certificate..
73 Rick N2AMG
Rich
I did check and made sure both programs are set “Run as Administrator.”
I will check to see if I have a Debug file. If not I will turn the Debug option on.
Rich
I may have found the problem. When I checked the Debug file, I saw that in line #3 it had Unsing Windows 1. I inserted the extra 1, and now every time it comes up in the debug it shows using Windows 11. And for right now it is working.
Not sure if this is the fix, but for right now and after six attempts, Logsync loads when I open Logger32 and it says – connected to Logger32.
Rick
I am trying to send you a new Debug file. And both times it has been undeliverable. I am using n2amg@n2amg.com
It is still not working properly for me.
Rick,
Installed app on new computer. When attempting to DL from both LoTW and eQSL, I get an error message: “Error info has been written to ErrorLog file”. Where is this file? I cant seem to find it!
Ken..
If the Error report was written it was probably written to the DebugLog.txt file which is located in the directory where you installed the program.
I would do this to make sure it captures the date. open the program and turn debug on (Setup/Debug/Debug On) Make it produce the 2 error’s and then turn Debug off. in the install directory you will find DebugLog.txt send that file direct to me as an attachment to rellison@twcny.rr.com
73 Rick N2AMG
Does HRDlOG.net retain the upload code? I have noticed when I first turn on my computer in the morning and startup Logger32 and have my first qso it never uploads it. I have to go back in setup and add the upload code. Thanks.
Yes it stores in in the L32Logsync.ini file. Have you entered your call and upload code in the box that holds the callsign and code?
73 Rick N2AMG
Hi Rick. I am experiencing the same problem with the latest LogSync 2.0.20.0 with Logsync not loading, just hanging, and Logger 32 Not Responding. When I force Logsync to close, Logger 32 runs ok. I have this with both Windows 10 and 11 on 2 different laptops. I will send you the Debug files for both platforms. In Windows 11 machine after I have forced it to close, it opens up correctly from within the Utilities menu in Logger 32, but on the Windows 10 machine it still hangs.
Thanks – these are great utilities.
I experience the same problem describe by Neil HUTTON. 08/25/2025.
I discover ,vhen deleting the DebugLog.txt before starting Loger32 all work well….
What happens if you turn Debugging off??
73 Rick N2AMG
Hello,
I had the same issue and whith Debugging Off it’s working well.
Hi, also the same problem described by Neil Hutton. Did not help deleting of DebugLog.txt file with my Win10. Logger32 freeze when loading L32LogSync. When close Logger32, after that L32LogSync finish the loading. Same also with Debugging OFF.
Hi Everyone..
I will try and see what is causing this as soon as I can.
Logsync works perfect on all 3 of my computers This is the problem I have.
One thing you can do is turn Debug on by editing the .ini file by setting it to true.
Ten when you load Logsync and it stops I can see if it gives me a clue as to where it is getting hung up.
Something is causing the manin ui thread to hang this is what I need to figure out.
My wife’s health has taken a turn that requires some surgery to relive some pressure on her spinal cord. until then I am required to do everything for her..
73 Rick N2AMG
I too have the same problem with the L32LogSync freezing at startup and the software uses 5% of the CPU until I end the process on my 12 core desktop.
Disabling Debug makes no difference. I can bypass the limbo state if I manually close the the small startup window of the utility and manage to select quit on the main utility witout exiting the program.
Hope the surgery goes well, software can wait for sure. Minor problems really.

Here is a windows that pops up if I try to download thousands of records from LOTW with the newest L32 Logsync:
It works without errors if I just download e.g. 1000 records via L32 Logsync or if I download the complete set of records from the LOTW website.
Could it be an error due to the length of time it takes to download?
L32LogSync
While trying to download the LOTW report the following error was recieved:

Yes that is what the problem is. When the download takes to long the error happens. The odd part is this has always worked and I never touched this part of the sourcecode while I added the things to Logsync. I really wont have time for the next couple of weeks until I can look at this.

Hello Rick,
The debug mode is “off” . No change in the problem
Is it possible to have the previous version to make a test??
73 Alain F6ACH
No as I do not have a copy of the previous build. Usually I keep a copy of the previous version but The previous build had been deleted and when I pulled it from the recycle bim it was corrupt. I am trying to find where the problem is happening. If you would delete your debug file and then turn debug back on. right after the problem happens stop the program and send me the debug file. I do not have any issues running the program so I need help trying to find it..
73 Rick N2AMG
Hello Rick,
I find a way to have a solution..
1) I run Log32 in Admin mode.
Log32 open and run and open Lookup
2) I go to folder “Logsync3″and execute Logsync program.
The program open and run.
3= When I log a qso and validate it, all the information on the qso are transfert in eQSL and QRZlogbook.
The difference is Logsync is not laucn by Log32 but separately by me.
So for my point of view the problem is in the commande in Log32 to laucn Lpgsync.
I am not a specialist ,so I am not able to give more info.

I try to send you a debug file at the adress : rellison@twcny.rr.com , and each time this one is rejected…..
I received your Debug and have written back to you with a suggestion to try. Let me know ifthat works. Also what is the rejection message you are getting from my server??
