Introduction

Rick's software utility lets us link Logger32 to various third party systems (ARRL's Logbook of the World (LOTW), eQSL, Club Log, HRDlog.net and any other website that uses FTP for QSO updates). We can pass QSO data from Logger32 to those systems and retrieve information from them in return.

Logger32 <--> LOTW

Logger32 <--> eQSL

Logger32 <--> Club Log

Logger32 <--> HRDlog.net

Logger32 <--> other FTP sites

Installation

  1. Get Logger32 running sweetly first!
  2. Set up your accounts on Logbook Of The World, Clublog, eQSL, HRDlog.net or an FTP site of your choosing (such as your ham website), making sure that you have the correct usernames and passwords
  3. Download the utility from here - get the full install first time around
  4. Install the utility by opening the download and double-clicking the file setup.exe
  5. Download and install any updates to the utility in the same way from here
  6. Configure the utility to point at the directory where the Logger32 program resides (usually C:/Logger32)
  7. Configure your login credentials (usernames and passwords) for LOTW, eQSL, Club Log, HRDlog.net and/or other FTP sites to which you wish to send your log
  8. Log a QSO and gasp in amazement as it is uploaded to eQSL, Club Log, HRDlog.net and/or other FTP sites
  9. Take note of any error messages that pop up, such as Club Log telling you that the callsign E51FOC does not, in fact, correspond to Lithuania (in which case you would need to check and correct the country allocation by right-clicking the E51FOC QSO in Logger32, selecting Edit coutnry info and selecting the correct DXCC country from the drop-down list)
  10. Select the LOTW/eQSL Upload tab, check that you will be using the correct 'TQSL location' (digital certificate) and click Create LOTW Export File in Logger32 and upload to LOTW to sign and upload a batch of QSOs to LOTW
  11. Select the LOTW/eQSL Download tab, check that the relevant callsign is selected, check the date of last download and click Download LOTW QSL Information and Sync into Logger32 to start the process … Logger32 will lead you through the LOTW synchronization process just as if you had manually exported and downloaded the QSL info from LOTW and clicked the Synchronize LoTW option.
