Rick,

When I start fldigi gateway everything connects okay and it appears to work. Problem is it takes all of my ststem resources. The windows task manager says that the cpu is at 100% and eveything runs very slow. If I kill FLDIGI then the cpu usage falls to around 15%. If I kill the gateway then the cpu usage also falls to around 15%. The cpu is a Celeron 2.4 ghz and I have 512 mb ram.

Help please.

I have a request, would it be possible to have the gateway feed info back to fldigi? With the new beta there is a new macro to export to google maps if you have the call and locator. Since DXView has this info it would be nice if it passed it along.

There is a bug with the gateway. If I launch fldigi as a stanalone it loads and works fine, rig control working. If it is loaded via the gateway I have to open rig control config and check hamlib and initialize. I tried with hamlib and cat with same results each way.
Thank you for the program,

I'm loving DXLab and have already converted many DX buddies to this suite. It's
awesome and I "almost" have everything configured.

Radio: Flex 5000A using Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) for digital modes. Using
FlDigi with the DXLab FlDigi Gateway for Commander and SpotCollector. I would
like the Gateway to set the Flex to Digital Upper (DIGU) for any digital QSO but
it always sets it to USB. I've tried all the settings in the Gateway and can't
seem to make DIGU the default. Am I doing something wrong or is the Gateway not
Flex radio aware? The reason I use digital upper is that it places the radio in
VAC mode, provides level controls, and bypasses any ALC circuitry.

Thanks in advance for any tips on how to have the Gateway/Commander set the Flex
5000A to DIGU.

By the way, I started out trying WinWarbler but it doesn't see the transmit VAC
port in the Soundcard set up so I abandoned that program.

Thanks in advance,

Vry 73,

The link has now been fixed and the application also has been updated to version 1.4.0. If you are using an older version of the gateway you will need to download version 3.20.b1 or later from the Fldigi website.

DearN2AMG,

I try to connect FLdigi and DXLabs Commander. It seems that it works, but when I try to change frequency both in Fldigi or Commander, I'll get following errormessage:

"Server returned a fault. Code is '-503', description is 'Call XML not a proper XML-RPC call. element value '7077600,0' is not a valid floating point number. Garbage (not sign, digit, or period)starting at ',0"

Do you have any idea, what could be the reason? My Windows locale is Estonian and it's decimal separator is not . but , by default.

Best regards, Tõnis, ES5TF

rick,

runing fldigi 3.11.ap, your gateway 1.3, DXkeeper 7.8.

data ( like call sign, etc) is passed to DXkeeper, but when I finish qso and log it, either via macro or using button, no log entries is added to DXkeeper.. tried both tcp and dde. no joy. Any ideas what I am doing wrong ?

I have uploaded a new version of the Fldigi-DXLabs gateway. This is a needed download if you want to use the newly released version of Fldigi. This update contain the following changes:
1. Changes functioning to work with Fldigi v3.11 or later.
2. Allows frequency to be changed from within Fldigi and updates Commander.
3. Adds Debug mode to help diagnose errors.
4. Moves settings from registry to .ini file
5. Allows logging via DDE or TCP.

The new version of Fldigi can be downloaded at http://www.w1hkj.com or on this web site in the software link a the top of this page.
